Grossglockner in the Salzburgerland

Bruck Fusch

Our beautiful region captivates with its unique location. The tranquility, the variety of mountains with the alpine landscape, also the beautiful villages and especially the proximity to the Großglockner, the Hohe Tauern National Park and Lake Zeller See make a vacation with us so special.

Summer

Destinations, activities & more

The Großglockner is not only a unique excursion destination, the highest mountain in Austria also offers numerous hiking & walking trails and very special nature experiences. There is a lot to discover on foot but also on the bike. The region is a paradise for cycling vacations: whether up the mountain on a mountain bike, down the MTB trails, on a road bike along the Ironman route, experiencing new tours on a gravel bike or cycling along the Tauern Cycle Path on an e-bike.

After an exciting day of vacation, you can cool off in the crystal-clear Lake Zeller See.

Of course, we also have a few excursion tips for you:

  • Grossglockner High Alpine Road
  • Ferleiten Wildlife & Adventure Park
  • Bad Fusch
  • Erlebniswelt Holz ‘Mühlauersäge
  • Pinzgau Nature Salt Cave
  • and much more.
Tip: You can buy the SalzburgerLand Card online in advance, many of the destinations are then included free of charge.

Of course, we don’t want to deprive you of a few special features. Bruck Fusch, especially the Fuscher Ache is a small paradise for fly fishing. Beginners can take a trial lesson at the VÖAFV. We have already mentioned a few times that we are practically at the foot of the Großglockner. The great scenery, nature and the view are simply unique. Especially day trips by motorcycle are a good option. Perfect that you can then relax in the evening with us before your motorcycle trip continues the next day.

Winter

Skiing, ski touring & snow experience

Even though Bruck Fusch does not have a ski resort itself, it is surrounded by numerous Austrian ski resorts. The Alpin Card region is practically around the corner and can be reached free of charge with the ski buses. Over 408 kilometers of slopes are waiting for you:

  • Glacier ski area Kitzsteinhorn in Kaprun
  • Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See
  • Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn
You can also let off steam on the cross-country ski trails, the ice skating rinks or during a toboggan run directly in Bruck at Kohlschnait. Winter hiking and ski touring are quieter, here you can discover the snow-covered landscape in peace, but be careful in open terrain, it is always advisable to take a guide with you.

Even in winter there is a lot to experience in Bruck Fusch. Directly in Fusch there is the practice lift, perfect if you want to learn how to ski away from the crowd. You should also try the cross-country skiing trail Fischhorn and the one in Fusch, or just take a leisurely walk along the Fuscher Ache in the wintry snow-covered landscape. The Sportcamp Woferlgut is a real insider tip, here a bathing world with five pool facilities awaits you. In addition to the sports activities, there are also evening torchlight hikes or you can visit the Erlebniswelt Holz “Mühlauersäge”, the museum is also open in winter for you and a little tip, reload your batteries afterwards in the Holzknechtstube with a fine cake and coffee.
